The Sumbs @Seksyen 13 | Shah Alam

Assalamualaikum dan salam ceria semua~

Baru-baru ini, aku berkesempatan untuk ke The Sumbs bersama keluarga tercinta. Setelah memfollow instagram The Sumbs baru-baru ini, rasa ingin mencuba semakin membuak2. Belek2 gambar kat instagram tu, tengok harga macam ok, so ajak family pergi. Lagipun tak jauh sangat, dalam Shah Alam je.

The Sumbs terletak di Pusat Perniagaan Worldwide Seksyen 13 Shah Alam berhampiran dengan Tesco dan Good Hope Hotel. Tak susah nak cari restoran ini, bila masuk kawasan Worldwide tu memang nampak terus. Apa yang membuatkan aku tertarik untuk ke kafe ini ialah desserts dan manisan di sini dibekalkan oleh Sukasucre yang dichefkan oleh Dr. Fazley. *betul ke ayat dichefkan? hahaha*

Oleh sebab pergi 7 orang, maka banyak menu yang dapat kami cuba pada hari berkenaan. Since Along sampai dulu, dia bookkan meja kat luar sebab kat dalam dah penuh. Dalam kafe ni kecik je, tak banyak meja sangat. Sampai2 je aku terus usha2 bahagian Sukasucre tu. Ada beberapa whole cake dan juga macaroons. Oh nom nom, macaroons! *jakun jap*

Antara menu yang kami try ialah:

Bagi aku, ada beberapa makanan yang best dan ada yang kureng. Bolognaise macam cair sikit gravy dia, so tak ummphhh sangat la.. Chicken hunter pun agak kureng sebab kuah tawar. Kesian atih makan tak kenyang. Kui3.. Aku suka dendeng calzone tu, daging dia lembutttt.. Sweet sour fish pun sangat sedap. Nasi butter pun lembut dan enak banget. Umi cakap sesuai untuk orang tua2, senang nak kunyah. Hehehe.. Churros pun sedap! Sangat mengenyangkan. Tiramisu pun sedap. Sum sum aku tak sempat makan dah habis. Hahaha..

Ok itu sahaja, lain kali nak datang lagi try menu lain pulak. Hehehe.. 

Laman Grill | Shah Alam

Hello Masterchef~

Finally, I got the chance to try the western food served at a restaurant owned by Chef Zubir Masterchef. Laman Grill: Steak & Bar-B-Que. This restaurant is quite famous among the food-lovers as it was featured several times in Masterchef Malaysia. It's located at Laman Seri, Seksyen 13, Shah Alam. Near the Giant Hypermarket and Stadium Shah Alam.

I went here a day before I started my job in Johor. Huhu, sedihnya sebab akan meninggalkan Shah Alam for a year. So, why not treats myself with good food? Hehe, not treat myself actually because my mom was the one who paid. =)

The restaurant looks quite cozy and modern where the kitchen is actually can be seen from the dining area. So, if you wanna see the chefs cook, feels free to do so. On the wall, a lot of certificates were displayed showing how successful Chef Zubir is. Malaysians should be proud of him. :)

I was quite satisfied with the food as the portion was very reasonable although the price was kinda exclusive. Hehe.. It's nice to have meals here for some special occasion, sometimes.

Oshima Cafe

Oshima Cafe is located at Shah Alam Walk, near Plaza Alam Sentral. Since it's very near to my house, I decided to have dinner there with Emie. We had tried Oshima at Oasis Seksyen 9 for ramen last week. However, the ramen failed to impress us and therefore we ignored ramen for this time to try other menu.

FYI, the Oshima Restaurant at Seksyen 26, Shah Alam have officially move their management here. So the Seksyen 26 restaurant is not in business anymore.

For two person, we ordered prawn tempura with rice (Ten Don), fried chicken fillet (Chicken Katsu), sushi (5 sets) and California temaki. Each sets of sushi (comprised of 2 sushi) cost RM3 or RM4 or RM5. They were also a new menu promotion where we could get 5 sushi for RM7 but we didn't take it because we already ordered a lot.

Overall, the food was okay. I love the tempura prawn, it's so crispy and the prawn is quite long. Nom nom nom... The sushi was not bad as well. Yummy... Puas sgt makan.. teramat kenyang sebab semua food is rice-based.

After done with eating, we went to The Store, then to Mydin and lastly to Giant to find a school uniform for my BTN in the next 2 weeks.

That's all for now. With great food, comes great responsibility to reduce weight! *pitam*

A Moment with Zoroyz

Although I'm quite busy with my tight study schedule *tight ke??*, I managed to rob some time to meet my friend, Zoroyz who has just recently moved to Shah Alam for his internship with a company at Seksyen 31, Kota Kemuning. At first, I thought Seksyen 31 is way further from my house which is located at Seksyen 4 but the newly build LKSA highway made my journey faster and simpler. However, I still need to pay RM1.20 for toll. Btw, Zoroyz is one of Lukman's best friend and later he becomes my best friend as well.. Best ke? Baru berapa bulan kenal!

At first we were planning to have dinner at Oshima Restaurant, a famous Japanese restaurant owned by Malays but it was closed today. I just found out that on Saturday, they open until 3 pm only. What a sad day.. Then we shifted our dining place at the nearest also newly build Carrefour. We tried our luck at Foodtown which is basically a kopitiam. We entered there because Zoroyz need to online since his new house isn't equipped with internet. The wifi here quite fast since not so many people eat here.



This was my first time eating here. I tried Nasi Ayam Hainan while Zoroyz tried the Nasi Lemak Special. The food was just okay but the portion is quite big, in accordance to their price.

After spending about one hour here, I went inside Carrefour to buy some items before we headed back to Zoroyz's apartment. Then I lepak there for a couple of hour until midnight.

Noodles Station @SACC Mall

Last night, my family went to makan2 at Noodles Station located in the very boring SACC Mall. haha..



It was for my brother in-law's belated birthday celebration since last week, most of us weren't available to celebrate his real birthday. Plus my parents were here last week.



The food here was okay for me. Not so sedap, not so tak sedap. It's balance you know.

Oh tidak sama skali..

I just had a luncheon with my family at Melting Pot, Concorde Hotel Shah Alam. It's a pre-celebration for my and my brother's birthday. My brother's birthday is tomorrow while mine is next week.

There's a lot variety of food and cuisine here, from local to western to oriental, all can be eaten under one roof. I tried most of the food, starting with Malay cuisine, then Italian and the Chinese food. There's a lot range of desserts as well including chocolate fountain, fruits, cakes and tarts.

Unexpectedly, I met Miss (now Mrs) Noli there. She was my English lecturer at INTEC but now she teach at UMP, Kuantan. She's having a group discussion with her colleagues here. However, she didn't bring her arjuna though.. Anyway, she's not wearing glasses now.. Btw, I forgot to take photo with her.. Huhu..
