Tanjung Piai | Johor

Taman Negara Johor
Tanjung Piai

This was our first here, it was okay as you can go to the Southern Most Tip of Malaysia. However, the route to the tip was closed for maintenance when we were there. We went to Pontian because my father had a reunion with his schoolmates. Then, my mom said why not we go to Tanjung Piai as it was not that far from Pontian.

There were a lot of monkeys around this area, please be careful with your belongings especially if you carry some foods. This area is covered with mostly mangrove trees. The wooden pathway was constructed for tourists to walk about this area.

We did not spend a lot of time here. As soon as we finished taking photos, we headed back to our car and then continued our journey to Shah Alam.

The Ice-Cream Project (TIP)

Assalamualaikum & Salam gebam-gebam semua~

Selepas makan di Kafe Dapur Jendela tu, kami meneruskan misi menggebamkan diri dengan mengheretkan diri ke kedai aiskrim yang famous kat JB ni iaitu The Ice-cream Project (TIP). Kedai ni tak jauh pun dari kedai makan tadi, jalan kaki 5 minit pun boleh sampai.

Alamat:
31, Jalan Dhoby, Bandar Johor Bahru, 80000 Johor Bahru, Johor
Tapi agak malang nasib kami sebab kedai aiskrim ni penuh dan takde available seats. So, kitorang order untuk bawak balik je la.. Makan sambil berjalan-jalan gitu. Memang sedap aiskrim dia, maybe next time boleh try flavour lain pulak. Aiskrim ni dibuat per order, maknanya dia akan buat dan dicampur masa kita order. Bukannya memang dah siap ye...

abang sado buat aiskrim, no wonder la ramai datang.. haha

Wefie kejap depan kedai

Lepas tu kami terus masuk kereta kononnya nak pergi taman, tapi malangnya taman tu tutup pukul 8 pm. So kitorang pun lepak kat Selat Tebrau menikmati pemandangan bandar Singapura. Dah la banyak tikus kat tebing2 tu!

Kafe Dapur Jendela @ Pasar Karat JB

Assalamualaikum & Salam ceria semua~

Oleh sebab malas nak bawak kereta sorang satu, so aku pun suruh Intan pick aku kat rumah nenek. Thanks Intan sebab amek aku, walaupun ko sesat dua kali kan.. Hehehe..

Mula-mula macam tak tau nak makan kat mana, ada yang suggest Burgerbyte tapi duhhh Burgerbyte kat Shah Alam pun ada kan. So Zu pun suggest pergi Dapur Jendela. Ok la, aku pun setuju sebab aku pun tak pernah makan kat situ. Alhamdulillah cari parking pun senang dengan area tu. Bayar RM3 untuk parking maklumlah parking tepi jalan mostly dah penuh. Malam minggu lagi pun.

Kitorang malas nak cuci mata, so terus jalan ke Dapur Jendela. Tunggu yang tak sampai2, berapa minit tah kitorang lepak kat luar kedai tu.

Alamat: No 49, Jalan Tan Hiok Nee

Menu kedai ni pelbagai from local to Western food. Aku tak lapar sangat so order Chicken Chop je. Zu order bubur nasi dan Intan order set roti jala. Sini nak makan berat ada, makan ringan pun ada. Air pun banyak jenis. Zu recommend aku order jus mangga + asam boi. Sedap jugak, tapi aku lagi suka epal asam boi or kedondong asam boi. Memang padu rasa dia. Hahaha.. Makanan kat sini ok, sedap. Sambal bubur nasi tu pedas gila, ntah berapa genggam cili padi dia taruk. Baru makan sesuap terus gatal tekak. Intan tak mampu habiskan so dia letgo sehelai kat aku.

Kitorang lepak sejam lebih jugak la borak-borak pasal gosip dan update terbaru kat hospital tu. Diam tak diam dah setahun lebih aku berpindah dan banyak staf kat situ pun dah berubah-ubah. Alhamdulillah still ramai member kat situ. Kalau melawat hospital tu pun diorang masih kenal aku. Hehehe..

Simple but comfortable. Ada papan tanda Kg. Melayu Steak House di lorong berkenaan, so sesiapa yang drive tu jangan pandu laju sangat ye. Drive slow2, baca signboard.

Memang a simple steak shop with common menu such as chicken chop, lamb chop, sirloin steak & fish and chips. Gravy boleh pilih either mushroom or blackpepper. Menu sampingan termasuk mushroom soup, cheese omelette, sandwich dan lain2. *lupa dah apa menu lain, just fokus kat main menu*.

Konklusinya, ketiga-tiga pinggan licin ye.

Tetiba ada dua ekor kucing bergaduh kat situ. Cuak je takut dia panjat2 meja gigit orang. Haha..

Iftar @Mutiara Hotel

Alhamdulillah, finally got the chance to have iftar at hotel like I desired.

Initially we planned to go to Blue Wave Hotel but later the plan changed to Mutiara Hotel. Mutiara Hotel. This hotel is located in the city near KSL City Mall. Quite easy to be located and the road is quite straightforward. Not so far from my grandma's house actually, can reach within 5 minutes. The participants were the kakak2 pharmacists from our hospital. Don't feel strange, because I'm the only Malay male pharmacist in the entire hospital. So sad.. Hahaha.. Oh ya, the price is RM83 per person.

The restaurant name is Seri Mutiara Restaurant and is located at the lobby. Many tables were arranged including in the hallway. We surveyed the menu first after finding our reserved table. The menu was very mouthwatering ranging from traditional to western food. There were around 10 types of different colourful drinks as well. In the inside, we could find local menu, western, salads, char kuey teow, kebab, porridge, fruits, dates, ABC, cakes and breads while at the exterior are there were kuih-muih, keropok lekor, fried durian, roti john, grilled fish, mandi rice, cekodok, satay, nasi lemak and mee rebus.

Very colourful

We started taking the kuih-muih first and later to the main meals. For the first round, I had plain rice with sambal puyuh, fried chicken, sotong masak santan, fried shrimps and gulai rusa. This was my first time trying the venison. After finishing the first round, I went to pray first then continued with the second round. I chose western food this time with prawn fettuccine, chicken lasagna, chicken mushroom, lamb chop with thyme sauce and vegetable au gratin. Sedappppp.. The food was definitely delicious although some of them didn't managed to reach my standard. For example, the kuih lopez which was not sweet at all, the lasagna had less cheese and salty kuah kacang for satay. Other than these, they were perfectly fine.

We left the hotel around 9 pm and bid goodbye to each other. Some of us were already on hari raya leave so I'm not gonna meet them next week.
