Day 1 - Transfer in Bandara - Surabaya City Tour

We were welcomed by our guide, Pak Wisnu and driver, Pak Wibowo.


Visit Masjid Agung Surabaya - The largest mosque in Surabaya


Lunch at Rumah Makan Antika. Menu : Nasi Padang

Check in Hotel Sahid Surabaya

Shopping for batik


Dinner at Cafe Mirota, which is located inside the batik shop. I tried the nasi rawon.



Day 2 - Surabaya - Tanggulangin - Bromo Sunrise Tour

Went to Tanggulangin and shopping leather products

Visit Lapindo, a place which had been buried by hot mud. The people there used to dig the earth to find oil but only mud came out. As the bad consequences, the place was buried under the 10 metre mud causing the place fully covered by hot mud. The mud is still coming out and the government had to tambak the land in order to prevent the mud from flowing to other places.

Lunch at Warung Bu Kris. Nasi rawon again.

Check in Hotel Bromo Permai. The atmosphere was very very very cold. Colder than Cameron Highlands.



Day 3 - Puncak Penanjakan - Kawah Bromo - Batu

Wake up early at 3.30 am and boarded a jeep to Gunung Penanjakan to watch sunrise. The ride was a bumpy one. Sakit buntut aku.. Huhu..


Ride a horse to Mount Bromo. This was my first time riding a horse, but I had experienced an elephant in Chiang Mai before. We watch the kawah there. Still releasing smoke.


Went to savanna.


Continue our journey to Batu, Malang.

Dropped by Coban Rondo waterfall.


Check in Villa Dyah Ayu.

Dinner at Seulawah Cafe. Seafood plus pasta.

We changed hotel from Villa Dyah Ayu to Hotel Pitaloka because the villa was too scary for us to stay. The Bali concept villa got a lot of warrior statue and naked women illustrations in the toilet which are not suitable for Muslim.



Day 4 - Petik Apel - Malang City Tour - Surabaya

After breakfast, we fetched Pak Hendra (Pak Wisnu's friend) at Seulawah Cafe.

He brought us to see Dr.Azhari house where he bombed himself there. It was a terrace house.


Plucking apples at Batu. Bought a t-shirt here, the design here was quite cool.

Went to Workshop Agroindustri Olah Pangan nearby. They manufactured kerepek, dodol and juices. Got manggo, jackfruit and apple crackers, and apple juices.


Seafood lunch at Gerai Gemar Ikan. We feed a lot of ikan koi there.


Eat durian at tepi jalan.


Shopping at Matahari Batu. Bought several t-shirts here. Matahari is one of our favourite shopping spot in Indonesia.

Check in Hotel Sahid Surabaya one more time.

Day 5 - Surabaya Shopping - Bandara Juanda

Shopping at Plaza Jembatan Merah


Lunch at Rumah Makan Bundo Sati. Menu : Nasi Padang

Visit Masjid Agung Makam Sunan Ampel. Only my dad went to see the makam. I was to lazy to go there.

Fly back to Malaysia.


*A day after we went back, we continue our holiday at Taiping and Perlis. :)

Cipak and Aleen Felt Surprised!

What were they so surprised of?

Well, we managed to surprised both of them by throwing a great surprise birthday party last Thursday. Cipak was surprised that day, but Aleen kinda had an instinct about the party.

Right after usrah and Maghrib prayer, the boys attacked the house at Vista B but the attack wasn't successful because the girls weren't prepared yet. So the boys calmly waited outside for more than half an hour with Wan. She came just a few minutes after we arrived.

Our menu today was Domino pizzas which I had ordered through phone. 2 large and 4 regular pizzas seem to be just enough for 13 of us. I was worried that there gonna be a lot of leftovers.

We started the party with Cipak and Aleen cutting the birthday cake bought by Anis. Thanks Anis for the effort.

Jom Heboh 2009 @ Bukit Jalil

Today, I went to Jom Heboh Carnival with some of my friends. Just went there to jalan2 as well as watching the concert which took place at night at the stadium compound, Bukit Jalil.


There's A LOT of people, might be from all over Malaysia. Not so many artist performed today. The performances included The Fabulous Cat, Hattan, Datuk Siti Nurhaliza, Misha Omar, Jaclyn Victor, Estranged, and Anang. We were quite surprised because most of the people came to see Siti performed because soon after that, many people left the concert. The concert was hosted by Ally Iskandar and Faisal Ismail.


We went to tour the carnival to buy some food since I only had several slice of cake for my dinner before we headed to the carnival, and now my belly kept on singing.

There's a lot of garbage scattered around the carnival. That's why Malaysian people are classed as third class mind people. They didn't know the usage of garbage bins which had been placed all around the site.


We spend most of our time watching the concert. At first, I was with Anis and her cousins, later I joined Fariz and her friends. Later, Ida and Syamin saw us. Fariz said that Farrah and Fyruz also came.

There's a beautiful fireworks been shot in the air at the end of the concert. It was colourful and loud. I bet the medic student might be pissed off because they were busy studying for their final exam.


We waited there until most of the people left to see if we were lucky to take photos with artists. And we were quite lucky, we got Ally Iskandar, Cat Farish and Azwin Andy from Estranged. However, Misha and Jac were surrounded with bodyguards who only know how to say "TAK BOLEH!", which referring to us who wanted to take photos with them.

Bulan Baru & Pahlawan Kilat

I made a HUGE mistake today. Didn't bring a camera during outing was quite a BAD idea today.

Here's what happened today.

Anis, Azery and I went to Berjaya Times Square to watch New Moon. We watched the 4.50 pm show. The movie was great, but as usual some minor scenes had been altered to fit the duration time so it won't be to lengthy. The main cast returned for this movie such as Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. I think we might be the noisiest bunch of people in the cinema, because we all had read the book before. So we got a lot to complained of.



But New Moon was'nt the reason why I regretted for not bringing my camera. There was other event took place at the LG floor. By the way, the decorations for Christmas were absolutely stunning, beautiful, pretty, colourful, bright, and sparkles. The deco was all white, red and green which resembles Christmas celebration. There were humongous rotating Christmas tree, candy house and toy shops.

It was Storm Warriors which shocked us. We just watch its trailer in the movie just now and it looks interesting. The things that happened on the stage was actually a Storm Warriors mall appearance. Guess who came? Aaron Kwok and Ekin Cheng. Damn it! How come I didn't bring my camera. I could become an instant paparazzi today. Even though I did not really know those actors, but I'm sure nobody wanted to miss the chance to snap their photos. They are celebrities some more.

We had our dinner at Rasa Utara since we never tried this restaurant yet. Got nasi beriani promotion set also which included sirap selasih drink. The food was good, the environment was cool, only the music was slack, because they played a lot of meleleh2 song.



Just before we get out from the building, we dropped by Krispy Kreme to eat some donats. There are new donuts on the shelf, mainly for the Christmas. Got donuts in snowman deco, christmas tree deco and snow pile.
