Wonderful Swiss Day 4 - Interlaken

Assalamualaikum and good day peeps!

Today I'm gonna tell you a story about our last day in Switzerland. Early in the morning, we checked out our hostel and walked to Luzern Railway Station. Since we checked out very early in the morning, we had already returned our keys to the receptionist the night before. It was raining at that time, around 7 am. So we had to covered our backpacks with the waterproof cover and I had my umbrella to avoid getting wet. Some of us wore raincoats. It was raining all the way to Interlaken Ost. The journey by train from Luzern to Interlaken Ost took around two hours. Although it was raining, the view along the journey was very breathtaking. Subhanallah! :)

Once we arrived at the Interlaken Ost, we left our bags at the locker there. It cost CHF5 per big locker. So we just used two lockers because it's sufficient enough. Then we followed the signboard to Harder Bahn which is a funicular service to Harder Kulm. When we walked to the Harder Bahn, we crossed a river where the water was turquoise in colour. Very pretty indeed!

We purchased the tickets to Harder Kulm. The normal price is CHF27 while for Eurail pass holders, the fee is only CHF21. So what is Harder Kulm? It is one of the Swiss mountain of Bernese Alps and is located near Interlaken. My friends had been here before, therefore she suggested us to go up the mountain.

The funicular journey took 8 minutes to reach the top. Then we walked to the viewing platform. However, the weather was still raining and foggy. The view of the mountains was a bit foggy and unclear. Thus we had to wait for some time until the fog was clear a little bit. Alhamdulillah, at some point, the weather was very clear which enabled us to take more photos. Plus, we need to berebut tempat with some other tourists for a good spot.

Nice view

We spent approximately one hour up there before taking the funicular back to the bottom. We couldn't spend more time here as we needed to continue our journey to Geneva. We were kinda rushing to catch the train to Geneva. I had to run to the station to make sure we managed to catch the train. Alhamdulillah, we made it. :)
