Labour Day Trip to Desaru Beach | Johor

Assalamualaikum wbt dan salam ceria semua.

Cerita ni agak dah sebulan la, tapi baru nk belogkan. Biasalah sangat busy dengan kerja dan assignment. Kerja2 pun banyak assignment. Menyampah betul. Ok, so during Labour's Day on 1st May, we planned to go to Desaru to enjoy the beautiful beach of Malaysia. Desaru is located approximately 60km from Johor Bahru. The driver for this trip was Zu while the passengers included me, Nur and my brother Sufi.

The weather was quite okay at first but as we reached Desaru Beach, rain started to fall. Aigooooo.. But we still went out to had a quick stroll at the beach. We had lunch first at the nearby stall selling chicken rice, coconut juice and nasi campur as well. Since it was public holiday, the beach was full of half naked people, some of them came from Singapore as we could observe a lot of Singaporean cars at the parking lot. Finding a spot for parking was also very challenging and the area was muddy as well.

After lunch, we dropped by a few souvenir shops to buy something as souvenirs. It's quite expensive though, three keychains for RM10. Padahal cengkerang dengan tulisan je pun, tu nak jual mahal2 pulak. So I grabbed 9 for RM30. Huhuhu.. tak bagi kurang pulak tu, kedekut.. I asked my brother whether he wanted anything or not, but as usual he didn't want anything. Souvenir kat sini biasa2 je.

Since it was raining here and there, we only spent a short time at Desaru beach because after that, we continued our journey to another beach at Batu Layar. Batu Layar is located around 20km from Desaru. Zu said that Batu Layar is nicer than Desaru. So, we'll see.. The road was quite empty maybe because people were still busy swimming in the sea.

As soon as we reached Batu Layar, I was astounded. It was very pretty with crystal clear water and also the unique rocky landmark made it even more beautiful. Plus, there were less people here so we got to enjoy our sweet time here for much longer. We didn't plan to mandi-manda around here. Just came to take some nice photos while enjoying the God's creation. The sea water level was quite high as well and we couldn't assess to the other part of the rocks. But we saw a bunch of people climbed on the rocks to reach there. Hmmmm, quite dangerous though as the rocks are quite edgy and sharp.

After spending some time here, we went back to the city and find a place for snacks. We dropped by a kopitiam besides the road and had roti bakar and some drinks. Later, we continued our day to AEON Bukit Indah just to wander around.

That's all for a quick update of my travel story.

Sg. Dua Char Kuey Teow | Penang

Assalamualaikum dan salam ceria pembaca sekalian.

Semalam masa on the way pulang ke Bukit Mertajam, kami sempat singgah di Sg.

Dua then kat main road tu ada banyak kedai makan kat belah kiri. Mula2 nampak Restoran Hameediyah pastu baru nampak kedai char kuey teow ni. Parking tepi jalan je. Memang ramai gila customer time tu. Maklumlah cuti sekolah kan. Alhamdulillah time kami sampai tu, ada org baru bangun dari meja so boleh la terus duduk.

Service agak sedikit lambat sebab ramai gila orang.

Sangat puas hati. Tapi memang trend ek char kuey isi dia sikit? Kurang kenyang di situ. Huhu.. Since Wanji tak makan udang, so dia sedekahkan udang2 terbabit kat aku. So dapatlah aku makan 10 ekor udang. Haha.. tapi dah last malas nk kupas kulit, Wanji tolong kupas sikit.

Ok itu sahaja quick update untuk kali ni.

Daaaa~
Agak ramai.. perlu berebut tmpt duduk.. haha

inilah kedainya

Wanji sedekah udang kat aku.. masyukkk.. :)

Harga yg agak2 kabur..

Weekend Getaway - Melaka (Part 2)

Assalamualaikum and good morning~

So, on the next day of our weekend getaway, we started our day with breakfast at a local roti canai restaurant called Roti Arang because the roti are cooked with charcoal kitchen. Kinda old stuffs but the food were definitely yummy! This restaurant is located just beside AMJ Highway. I had roti sardin and my friends had roti telur, roti kosong and roti telur bawang. Plus, Wawa brought  Secret Recipe cake for my birthday celebration. Thanks bunny! :)

Then, we're off to Dataran Pahlawan and Mahkota Parade for window shopping. I grabbed a few of Lego minifigures at the newly opened Toys R Us. Dataran Pahlawan is partially renovated now, maybe they wanna accommodate more shops. Since it's weekend, there were loads of people here. Even going to bookshops also had to long queue at the cashier. I found a Tamiya shop at Mahkota Parade and they sells Dash cars at RM50+. Hurmmm hurmmmm, but I couldn't see any Cannonball or Dancing Doll. Only Horizon, Emperor, Super Emperor, Burning Sun, Shooting Star and other dash cars.

We had lunch at Breeks Cafe. All of us had Korean food except Lukman and Uya who ordered a salad each. Kenyang ke? We definitely had so much fun chitchating with my friends. Miss them all so much!

Klebang

I think everyone knows that Klebang is famous of what? So what? What? The original coconut shake! A refreshing drink made of blended coconut flesh and vanilla ice cream. It's something that people's love including us. We had a glass each with extra 1 glass to share with. Aside from the famous coconut shake, this  place also serve a lot of food like nasi lemak and aneka kuih-muih. A lot variety of kuih can be choosen. We had sardine rolls and karipap. Oh ya, this place is named The Original Klebang Coconut Shake. It's a must try for people who came down to Malacca. Very very nice. It was very crowded that day because there's a futsal event around Klebang. Many athletes came from other states to try it.

Batu Pahat

Then, I sent the girls back to their home. I headed to Batu Pahat after that to send back Lukman and Mije. We had dinner at Burger Bakar Muar at Batu Pahat city. The burger is quite delicious, the patty is very tender and yum yum yummm.. :)

I spent the night at Lukman's place. It's been a while since we had our last sleep over. The next day, we went to Batu Pahat Mall for lunch. We asked Mije and Ghul to join us. Our choice was Juz Waffle, a restaurant which serve a lot variety of waffle from savoury to desserts. I had chicken chop and waffle with dark cherry ice cream as the dessert. However, the cherries were too sour. I preferred Lukman's waffle with chocolate ice cream because it's sweeter and chocolaty.

After Asar, before going back to Johor Bahru, we picked Fadh first at bus station then we had early dinner at KFC because Lukman haven't tried the new sensation, Spicy Korean Crunch chicken. He love it! :)

So, that's all for our short trip to Malacca. I hope I can see them again in the future because I definitely miss them so much.
