Super Junior @ MTV Asia Awards 2008

Wow! Just like I had expected, Super Junior won for the Korean Favourite Artist. Even though I was at Genting yesterday, I didn't have chance to meet them in person. This is because I didn't watch the MTV Asia Awards in Arena of Stars, but in Genting International Showroom. We watch them in one big screen and two small screen in the showroom. However, I'm still lucky because I already met some of them before at KLIA.

I recorded some videos of the Super Junior performances and their moment of winning but the sound quality is quite bad. It's very noisy. Super Junior performed Mirror and A Man In Love. Mirror was sung by Yesung, Kyuhyun, Eunhyuk, Ryeowook, Donghae and Sungmin. I love this song! Later, Siwon, Kangin, Shindong, Leeteuk and Heechul joined the team to perform their dance song which was Man In Love. Before singing A Man In Love, they dance to Don't Don introduction. Their dance was superb! I just loved them!

MTV Asia Awards 2008 - Live Viewing Party

Yesterday, Helmi and I went to Genting Highlands to watch MTV Asia Awards 2008. This awards was held in Arena of Stars but we didn't watch it in there. We watch the awards through the huge screen in Genting International Showroom.

We arrive at Genting quite late which is at 5.20 pm. The awards will start at 7 pm. We took cable car from Gohtong Jaya up to Genting Highlands. We had our short walk inside the First World Plaza to take some pictures. At nearly 6 pm, we rushed back to Genting International Showroom because the entrance opened at 6.30 pm. A lot of people were already in the queue. The security checked our tickets and ID to make sure were are above 18 years old. We were given a half dozen of MTV button badges as a doorgift.

Inside the showroom, it's quite dark just like a club. We found ourselves a table at the second row from the front. We were lucky because we came inside quite early because the later one had to stand. We didn't order anything to eat because we wanted to save our money. We took some pictures with the host of the party which was Jien (host of Malaysian Idol). There were also some foreigners there such as Dreamz team (magician and illusionist who do performance at Genting). Later, Cheryl Samad and Hannah Tan joined Jien to host the party.

When the awards going to start in a few second, the crowds started to scream. We became very excited because we were the earliest people who watch the awards live beside peoples in Arena of Stars. This awards will be shown on TV at 11 pm later.

This awards was hosted by Jared Leto and Karen Mok. The introduction video was also very interesting. The first performance was a dance by JabbaWokeeZ. They were very cool. Next, the Pussycat Dolls performed their hit songs, Buttons and When I Grow Up. Super Junior performance were also very cool. I just love them! Their first song was a slow song, Mirror, and their second song was a dance song, A Man In Love. Their dance were so great! I felt like I want to join them up on the stage. Leona Lewis performed Better in Time and Bleeding Love, Pop Shuvit with Freakshow and Marabahaya, and One Republic with Apologize and Stop & Stare. Other performances were performed by the Click Five with Empty and Jenny medley, Electrico and Stephanie Sun, and The Script. Panic at the Disco ended the show with I Write Sins, Not Tragedies and Nine in the Afternoon. In my opinion, all of the performances were superb! Leona Lewis' voice was so great! It's just like in the CD.

The winner of Malaysian Favourite Artist was Nicholas Teo. I'm quite sad because Datuk Siti Nurhaliza or Faizal Tahir didn't win. Super Junior won the Korean Favourite Artist just like I expected. Actually I like all the nominees such as Big Bang, Girls' Generation and also Wonder Girls.

During the commercials, we were served by performances by local entertainers. They performed breakdance, hip hop, and also beatbox.

After the awards ended at nearly 10 pm, the party continued. This party was expected to end at 3 am. There were several lucky draws. The winners could win I-Pod Nano, Nintendo Wii and also Xbox 360. The winners were asked to do something before they could take the prize such as singing and dancing. Some of them were shy, while some of them not. Later, we were served with beatboxing performance, Hujan band and Faizal Tahir. Hujan sang their popular song such as Pagi yang Gelap, Empayarku, Aku Skandal and some other songs. Faizal Tahir sang Batu dan Golek, We Will Rock You/I Don't Wanna Be medley, Sedang Ingin Bercinta and some other songs.

After Faizal Tahir performances, we left the showroom to find something to eat outside. The inside food were quite expensive. Therefore, we went outside to find a fast food restaurant. Luckily, all the fast food restaurant opened 24 hours. We had our late dinner at KFC at about 12 am. After that, we decided to go back home even though it's quite late.

Even though we couldn't watch the awards in the Arena of Stars, watching the awards in the showroom is also more than enough. This was the first time we attended a party like this. We just loved it!

I'm Going to Genting!

Yesterday, before I went to KLIA to see the arrival of Super Junior members, Wawa called me and said that she won 2 tickets for the MTV Asia Awards 2008 at Genting - City of Entertainment. At first, I told her to keep the tickets first as I need to discuss with my friends. Wawa had no intention to go to Genting. I think she won the tickets by signing up the Genting membership during the MTVAA Roadshow last week. I did sign up also but I was unlucky. I didn't win but she did. However, the tickets were for the show in Genting International Showroom, not Arena of Stars. I think we might watch the event on the big screen there.

During at KLIA, I didn't mention anything to my friends about the tickets. I wanted to keep it secret for a little while. This is because I have 2 friends which are Badd and Azery but I only have 2 tickets. That means I can only ask one of them to join me.

Earlier this morning, I called Wawa and told her that I wanted the tickets. Later, I called Badd to ask him to join me. I don't want to ask Azery because he was slow, lazy, and has no commitment in doing crazy thing like this. However, Badd rejected my offer because he said that he had something to do during this weekend. I didn't called Azery at all. My head was going to blow as I don't know who else to be asked.

The last solution was my friend from my secondary school which is Helmi. He studied in UiTM Shah Alam which is located near my house. In addition, he also has a car which will make our journey easier. So, I send him a message about the tickets and he agreed. I told him not to worry about the expenses because I volunteered myself to share the fuel price with him. At that moment, I was very happy. I quickly told my mom about this and she seemed to give me the permission. I called Wawa again to ask her to accompany me to Kuala Lumpur to picked up our tickets tomorrow. Wawa needs to come with me because her ID is needed to claim those tickets.

At last, my dream had finally come true even though I couldn't watch the prestigous MTV Asia Awards 2008 at Arena of Stars. The awards will starts at 7 pm. The good thing is we has no place to sleep that night because all the hotel room were fully booked. I already checked it in Genting website. Looks like either we are going to sleep in our car or stay up till morning or going down after the awards ended which is quite impossible. It's quite dangerous to drive down the hills during night time.

MTV Asia Awards 2008 Roadshow @ Cineleisure

A WONDERFUL OUTING

Yesterday (July 19th), Wawa, Azery and I went to Cineleisure Damansara to attend a very important event which will give us chances to win MTV Asia Awards 2008 tickets. The MTVAA 2008 Roadshow started at 12 noon.

I had asked Wawa and Azery to be at Section 18 KTM Station at 10 am so that I can picked them before we went to the roadshow. However, Azery who is lack of self-timing arrived at 11.15 am which was 1 hour late. Because Wawa had arrived earlier, I accompanied her to have a quick drink at Restoran Al-Awwal. I agreed to gave her a company because she said that it was her treat. We have a long chat and called the 'slowpoke' Azery several times to asked him when he was going to be here. Badd couldn't join us because he had important thing to do at his kampung. His mother need to manage something about his late grandmother's property and something about collecting durians.

When Azery said that he already passed Subang Jaya station, we quickly went to KTM Station to fetched him and we drove directly to Damansara after that. We arrived there just on time and had a little tour inside the Curve. Cineleisure Damansara is situated beside the Curve, Ikano Power Centre and also Ikea.

During our walk, we always blamed Azery for being late and cause us to no get a free MTVAA balloons from the promoter. After that, we watch the roadshow which was hosted by a VJ. I don't really know who the VJ was because I rarely watch MTV channel. A lot of Chinese attended the roadshow. The VJ picked several people and asked some questions to them. The winner won a goodie bag and also a ticket for MTV Asia Awards. Because we were too shy to raise our hands, we just watched the event for several minutes because Azery felt sick due to his 'fever' which he got in the commuter on his way to Shah Alam before.

Wawa and I sign up for Genting membership which will enable us to win MTVAA tickets if we are lucky. We were given a voting paper each to vote for our favourite artist. We also can win tickets by this way. After getting bored with the roadshow because we couldn't hear the VJ clearly, we decided to watch movie. Therefore, we bought tickets for Hellboy 2 The Golden Army. Actually I wanted to watch the Dark Knight, but the tickets were all sold out and Azery didn't really like Batman. We also missed Faizal Tahir performance but it's not a big matter as we are not really his fans. We all voted for Datuk Siti Nuhaliza.

Hellboy 2 story is very amazing. The effects are all superb! This story also has a little bit of comedy element. I didn't finished my 7-Up because my bladder couldn't hold more water and I went to toilet after 1 and a half hour the movie started.

After watching the movie, we went to perform our prayer and had our lunch at Secret Recipe. At first, we were looking for a Korean food restaurant but we couldn't find it there. We had a long talk during our late lunch. Wawa and I ordered Tom Yam noodles while Azery wanted to try Japanese Soba. We also tried Garden Salad. Luckily I didn't ordered Japanese Soba because it was not really appetizing and mouth watering. It was just a black noodles with a lot of veggies. Our tom yam were much better than the soba thingy.

Then, we went tho some bookstores such as MPH and the Borders because Azery had something to buy which is a Korean dictionary. He is very interesting in learning Korean language due to his madness to Super Junior. However, he didn't buy anything because he had not enough money. He wanted to borrow from us but what can we do? We don't have extra money to lend him. Money is a very crucial things especially during holiday where we didn't receive our scholarship.

I headed home.

Hmm, what a tired day. Even though we didn't walk that much, but I felt very sleepy that day. I didn't regret that I didn't raise my hand during the MTV Roadshow because I am a very shy person. We still can watch MTVAA on TV though..

MTV Asia Awards 2008 and Super Junior

Suddenly Badd and I are very interested in going to MTV Asia Awards but you know, the tickets aren't for sale. People can only go there by invitation which can be obtained in several events. This MTVAA 2008 will take place in Arena of Stars, Genting. The thing that makes us really wanted to go is because Super Junior is going to perform on that night. SNSD aka Girls' Generation also got nomination for Korean Favourite Artist along with SuJu, Big Bang and also Wonder Girls. I'm voting for Siti Nurhaliza...

But it's really almost impossible to get the tickets. The tickets can be obtained from Zouk, roadshow and several contest conducted by MTV Asia. The roadshow will be held on 19 & 20 July at Cineleisure Damansara but it's hard to get there because I don't really know the way to reach there. I've enter the quiz and hope I'll be lucky to win the tickets. I've already ask Badd to make video mimicking any artist who get nominated which is SNSD because we both know how to dance to their song such as Girls' Generation and Into the New World. We have been practicing this dance a long time ago when we were at our college, Cemara. At first, Azery also join the dance but he gave up earlier because he said that he is left-handed. This makes his dance moves opposite to mine and Badd's.

I really hope I can attend the awards but it's just impossible. Impossible and impossible.. Maybe I should quit dreaming to go there. I also can't watch it on TV because my dad already remove MTV Channel from our Astro subscription. Looks like I can only watch it on youtube then.. Huhuhu.. So unlucky..

Hmmm... there is other thing that I found very interesting in youtube yesterday. As I was browsing Super Junior video, I found a video which Siwon and Hangeng of Super Junior star in it. The title is Timeless. So, I watch the video and I like it. This is actually a music video.. The storyline is very sad and I almost cry (but didn't cry). The story is about Siwon being a bad guy who recently undergo a heart transplant. He kidnapped a girl who turn out to be Hangeng's girlfriend. Then, Siwon shoot Hangeng with his gun and run away. Later, Hangeng died in hospital. Siwon met the girl (the girl didn't know Siwon because he wore mask during the kidnapping incident) and returns some kind of locket to the girl which has a picture of Hangeng and the girl in it.

I don't really know Super Junior at first but because Azery and Badd loves them, I'm also influenced to like them. They are really good in singing, acting and dancing. That's why I like them. Plus, they are all good looking.. hehe..

Then, Badd influenced me with SNSD (Sonyeoshidae) or Girls' Generation.. The first video we watch is SNSD performed Into the New World. Then, we learn to dance to the song. Later, when I'm searching for Into the New World song, the song is different. Totally different. Then, I search for more information and found out that Badd's video is not Into the New World song, but it's Girls' Generation... Then, I search for Into the New World video on youtube and I'm very attracted to the dance. More complex dan faster than Girls' Generation. So, we learn this dance also. We usually dance at night to avoid public attraction.. Haha.. Besides, we also dance to Wonder Girls' Tell Me..
