KL Tower | Kuala Lumpur

Alhamdulillah, after 25 years living in Malaysia (eh minus 1 year in Glasgow.. hehe nak jugak mention kan), I finally got the chance to visit Menara Kuala Lumpur or KL Tower. KL Tower is located at Bukit Nanas near Jalan Sultan Ismail. I recognised the road from Hard Rock Cafe Kuala Lumpur and also Concorde Hotel. The day before we already had a quick stop here when we were on bus tour. Thus the next day, we went there by car.

Since we came early in the morning, there were lots of parking space thankfully. The parking rate is RM3 for the first hour and RM3 for subsequent one hour. Other than the tower itself, there is several attractions here as well. There are aquarium, animal park, eco park, mini cultural village and F1 simulation. However, there are an additional fee if you want to visit these attractions except the mini cultural village since it's free entry. More info on KL Tower website, click here.

At the lobby, there are few shops and cafes. As usual, before going up the tower, I entered the souvenir shop and bought some postcards, magnets and pin badges. The postcards here are so pretty and I didn't think I could find it elsewhere thus I bought 15 pieces. One pretty magnet costs RM10 and the pins 3 for RM10. Quite okay la for exclusive place like this. There were few groups of school children as well. It's school holiday some more.

So we booked lunch buffet at the Revolving Restaurant Atmosphere 360 for three person. RM88 per pax including admission to Observation Deck. If you want to enter the Observation Deck only, it cost RM35. Open deck cost RM60+. Hi-tea buffet around RM50 if I'm not mistaken. Since we wanted the table beside the window, we were charged additional RM25 fee.

The lunch buffet starts at 11.30 am until 3 pm but there are two sessions. Ours was from 11.30am till 1pm only. The menu was awesome, a lot of variety and the taste were great! During my time, the menu were:

Plain rice
Tomato Rice
Fried beehoon
Chicken and mushroom pie
Beef medalion
Lamb curry
Ikan masak lemak
Pajeri nanas
Black pepper mussels
Tofu with crab meat
Murtabak
Sushi
Smoked salmon
Pumpkin soup
Ikan bakar
Vegetarian sides (tempura veggies and fritters)
Chicken and mushroom clear soup
A wide variety of salad including kerabu betik
A wide variety of cakes and desserts

Hot tea/coffee
Air batu campur (shaved ice)

Drinks like juices or mineral water cost additional cost.

Splendid view although a bit hazy

Towers around the world for comparison

What a meal we had. Our stomachs were full. Alhamdulillah. I managed to grab which food I wanted and enjoyed them very much. Maybe next time I will come for hi-tea.

After finishing our lunch session, we headed down to the Observation Deck. Here lies a few souvenir shops and Nikon binoculars. Luckily the binoculars are free of charge. There are comparisons of tower across the world too. I was excited seeing Berlin Fernsehtum since I've been there before. Hehehe..

Okay, that's all for KL Tower update. Thanks you Along for belanjaing me. Hehe..

Cheers~
